Emergency Relief for Turkey: Earthquake Response

Following the terrible earthquake in Turkey, with the support of our generous members in Oregon and surrounding areas, we gathered resources to provide aid to those affected.

Türkiye was hit by multiple earthquakes with magnitudes of 7.8 and 7.4 on the Richter scale in the early morning hours of February 6, 2023. Hundreds of thousands are likely to be trapped under the rubble. Significant aftershocks continue to be felt, preventing people from returning to even undamaged buildings. The damage, known to have killed thousands of people and injured even more, reached an unprecedented scale in the region.

The ORTA community went above and beyond to volunteer for hours, collecting & sending donations to the people affected in the region.
