Oregon Turkish American Association (ORTA) is an IRS 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit organization aiming to take its rightful place among the community organizations that are actively reweaving the social fabric of Oregon for a better future.
ORTA is dedicated to enriching the lives of the Turkish-American community through educational, recreational, social, and cultural activities in Oregon without supporting any political or religious agenda. We are here to organize events and activities to promote cross-cultural exchange of ideas, art, cuisine, and traditions. ORTA was founded to create a community and a welcoming environment for anyone interested. We strive to extend our support to the Turkish American student body in the area and partner with humanitarian organizations in the USA and Türkiye to advance common causes.

Mission: As a non-profit organization, ORTA is dedicated to enriching the lives of the Turkish-American community through educational, recreational, social, and cultural activities in Oregon without supporting any political or religious agenda.
Strategic Objectives of ORTA include, but are not limited to
i. Organizing events and activities to promote cross-cultural exchange of ideas, art, cuisine, traditions,
ii. Creating a community and a welcoming environment for anyone interested,
iii. Providing support to the Turkish American student body in the area,
iv. Partnering with humanitarian organizations in the USA and in Türkiye to advance
common causes.
Supporting Education in Türkiye
ORTA partners with the Bridge to Türkiye Funds to support the educational needs of kids in underdeveloped areas. We work with school leaders and organizations to ensure that students have access to current supplies & materials to support the continuation of education.
