Welcome to the Oregon Turkish American Association (ORTA), a dynamic IRS 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit organization committed to weaving a tapestry of unity and understanding within the diverse communities of Oregon. With a vision for a better future, ORTA stands as a beacon of cultural enrichment, fostering connections, and creating a welcoming space for all.
Vision: We want to take our rightful place among the community organizations that are actively reweaving the social fabric of Oregon for a better future.
Mission: As a non-profit organization, ORTA is dedicated to enriching the lives of the Turkish-American community through educational, recreational, social, and cultural activities in Oregon without supporting any political or religious agenda.
Strategic Objectives of ORTA include, but are not limited to
i. Organizing events and activities to promote cross-cultural exchange of ideas, art, cuisine, traditions,
ii. Creating a community and a welcoming environment for anyone interested,
iii. Providing support to the Turkish American student body in the area,
iv. Partnering with humanitarian organizations in the USA and in Türkiye to advance
common causes.

In our commitment to education, we strive to support the Turkish American student body in the area, providing resources and mentorship to help them thrive in their academic pursuits.
